I just... I Just can't have enough of this woman! I CAN'T!!!

And despite the fact she is not playing Edgeworth (and yes - the fanboys keep going on and on and OOOOOOOON about the hair being wrong... who cares... when she can dance and sing like that!).

I just can't have enough of Ranju Tomu!

It is just ... two obsessions in one... ok? FFS! I bought a DS BECAUSE of these games alone and I NEVER regretted it!

And then they went and cast Ranju Tomu... what chance did I have to resist.

These are two DVDs that will have to come home to me somehow...

IGIARI!!!

No... not really XD I would NEVER object to this!
2010 is here and I am obliged by my own determination to make some sort of a post before the first day of the new year comes to an end.

So in conclusion of the year so far...

Here is yours truly looking for a blue moon ... just of the off chance a local volcano spewed the right kind of dust into the Glastonbury atmosphere (actually I wasn't looking for a blue moon because it was overcast - BOO!)... taken at the very moment the new year was born. For posterity - Lamasu on the cusp of 2010 - forever captured in fuzzy form with her spectacles glowing eerily in the frosty January night... glowing perhaps from the moon ... that isn't there.... how disgustingly baudelairian!

Note how I labor all year to present my hedge as to enhance the gothic atmosphere of a wintery midnight ... Ahem... it isn't as if I just... don't bother ever cutting them or... or something...

OK... I confess - I am lazy. If I was making any resolution this year it would be that I would cut my hedge but I am NOT making any resolution because if I did I would feel compelled to sing Kol Nidrei on Yom Kippur when I actually fail to fulfil them... and trust me - no one wants me to sing Kol Nidrei... or anything ... EVER!!! XD.

And I didn't raise even a single glass of wine for the new year... My resin duo however...

Ah! Plastered Plastic! ^_^

I don't know WHY everyone is so obsessed with their dolls ability to stand on their own... mine are too drunk to even try... decrepit little boozers! ¬_¬.

So there you have it - I entered 2010 wearing the same old clothes but with an extra decadent doll...

HUZZAH! :D:D:D

Ah what a year it was. A year of many books, some more books and when possible... BOOKS! So ... more or less like any other years and in other words - FABULOUS! :D:D:D

Here is the list of Books wot the Lamasu ate this year and what they tasted like ... in one sentence each!

And I know some people are new to the notion that the ratio of Love corresponds directly to the levels of snark ... but I won't bother explaining this because - lets face it - if you want to get offended - you would get offended wether I justify myself or not ... just... try not to take it all too seriously - for your own health. Sherlock Holmes - Maurice Leblanc - No, Seriously. This could only get better if they had sex after Lupin pawned Holmes arse over and over again... in a sadly non sexual way... aaah... yeah... sorry ;_;.

34)The Scarlet Pimpernel - Baroness Orczy - Yes, I DO read books just because I watche the takarazuka production, why do you ask?

35) Eldorado - Baroness Orczy - the one where the Scarlet Pimpernel saves that aristo-brat from the guillotine.

36) The Elusive Pimpernel - Baroness Orczy - They seek him here, they seek him there there are sequins and feathers everywhere because I was watching Takarazuka non-stop whilst reading these XD.

37) The Adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel - Baroness Orczy Gadzooks! In an Adventure with Scientists - Gideon Defoe - I have no words to describe just how idiotic and GENIUS this book is and the only thing that surpasses it are the other books in the series.

46)The Pirates! In an Adventure with Whaling - Gideon Defoe - The only thing that could make Mobi Dick any better is more pirates and this book is the proof!

47) The Phantom of the Opera - Gaston Leroux - Yes, I DO read books just because I watche the takarazuka production, why do you ask?

48)The Pirates! In an adventure with Communists - Gideon Defoe - Giant Mecha Nietzche, Pirate Marx and Spinoza X Descarte slash... need I say more?

49) The Prisoner of Zenda - Anthony Hope - I bought it for few pennies in a charity shop and had hours of fun buckling swashes again- yay! :D:D:D

50)Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Jane Austen and Seth Graham Smith - I only got it because everyone said it is crap and it was actually really brilliant because it all makes sense to me now!

51) The Guilty 4 - Forsaken - Katsura Izumi and Hinako Takanaga - Leaky Uke Editor continue being stimulated by the stimulated cockacious writing skills of stimulating Seme novelist.

52) The Aristocrat and the Desert Prince - Haruhi Tono and Ai Hasukawa - A Christian Japanese rich boy get molested by Sheik-like swarthy-san in the scorching deserts of YaoiLand where he angsts and leaks in equal measures.

53) Sunburnt Faces - Shimon Adaf (in Hebrew) - A girl from a small town in the south of Israel talks to god, reads books that never existed and see signs in everyday life until she gives it up and grows up to be a disillusioned children author.

54) The Pirates! In an adventure with Napoleon - Gideon Defoe - involving some competitive bee keeping.

55) The Quiet Gentleman - Georgette Heyer - A tale of a man who makes a hell of a lot of noise for a quiet gentleman as he inherits an old estate in Yorkshire and gets himself and the ladies around him into all kinds of messy yet ever so refined troubles.

56) The Way of Shadows - Brent Weeks - And I finish this bookish year with a good dose of stabbing in the dark, poisoning and all other manners of nasty with assassins thrown in and whores sprinkled on top <3<3<3.

and that is that. For some reason it feels like I read a lot less this year.... not actually went back and checked - it just does ... I blame it all on Takarazuka... not ... actually sure how that works in terms of blame but it sure is a pretty things to delegate guilt too.

*Sparkles*

Happy New Year Everybody ^_^.

I don't remember where I saw this. It has been saved in a private entry for weeks for a boring day. I don't even know why I am doing this - I have only been a fan for 6 months and I don't think my taste is solidified enough but the urge is there and boredom is lurking ... so here we go...

1. Who is your favourite current Top Star?

An Evil question from the land of Evil and it is EVIL that it should be asked now when there are 4 top stars I adore... but Aaaah! It has to be Kiriyan after all ^_^.

2. Who is your favourite current Nibante?

Ranju Tomu - don't ask me why. It isn't that I don't know why because I DO! (Awesome Tomu is Awesome!) but because I will just stand there flailing and saing stuff like "Awesome Tomu is Awesome!" and that is just DUMB! I don't do things like that... aaah... yeah ... *flails*

3. Who is your favourite current sienne who is neither a top star or a nibante?

Otozuki Kei is not a nibante yet is she? I pretend she isn't here just so I can do my own special Kimu Dance ... which, trust me, you are HAPPY you can't see ^^;;.

4. Where is your current troupe loyalty?

Cosmos... I just woke up one morning and realise there was never an actress in Cosmos I didn't at least want to molest for one night... or be molested by more like... YES! I do give you more information than you want ... your point?

5. What is your favourite troupe for:
a) 1995-1999 - Hanagumi
b) 2000 - 2002 - Soragumi is begining to take over.
c) 2003-2005 - Soragumi claim to my heart being challanged somewhat by Tsukigumi.
d) 2006-2008 - Yukigumi makes a considerable advance for my soul, battle it with Tsukigumi... with occasional successful guerila attack by Hoshigumi... yet Soragumi triumphs after all ^^;;.

6. What sienne would you switch your troupe loyalty for if they transferred somewhere else?

Ranju Tomu - I will follow her to the ends of the earth and ... probably fall off the edge screaming "I LOVE YOU TOMUUUUUUUU" all the way down.

7. What play/stories do you want to see Takarazuka do?

You... you really shouldn't ask me things like that. Would very much love more double gay! MORE DOUBLE GAY PLZ! Whatever makes two Otokoyaku fondle each other on stage works for me!

Also just for the hilarity - do a version of Ulysses... seriously - it is the most awful book in creation - it can benefit from sparkles and feathers and they can do a CURTAIN SONG in honour of that 100000000++ page chapter that talks about... yeah... curtains!

8. What types of plays do you want to see more of? (ie comedy, romance, western, supernatural, fable/fairy tale)

I have the softest spots for suits - so ... more Noir stuff please... "the moment that Musumeyaku walked through my door I knew she'd be nothing but trouble. He eyes where heavy with make-up but I could see through the deceit, Chinatown... or was it Tokyo. I knew I would let her shoot me! I knew she would make me walk down giant stairways wearing feathers and sequins and I knew there was nothing I could do about it!"

Also - Comedy - the more crack the better ^_^.

9. Would you like to see Takarazuka do a non-singing play?

Nope. OMIGODDESS! That was a short answer... let me try to make it longer... aaaah... no I wouldn't want to! ^^;;.

10. What is your favourite version of Elisabeth and why?

ARRRGH! Another question from the land of Evil! Don't make me choooooooose! I love 2005 Tsukigumi for the awesomeness of the cast and for Kiriyan's Luchieni, I love 2007 Yukigumi for the fantastic Mizu-Death. But I think the one I watch most is the 1998 Soragumi - for the awesomeness of the cast for Zunko unbelievable voice and for the best Luchieni EVAR! Despite it being Wataru and not Kiriyan (you can tell because she is taller... ok... I ... I will go away now ;_;).

11. What is your favourite version of Rose of Versailles and why?

OH MY GODDESS! THEY ARE ALL AWFUL!!!! and ... errr... I love them all but... ssshhhh ... don't tell anyone. I dunno - I confess the more times Andre gets shot at the end the more I love it. So ... whatever one was the one he got shot 24 time before dying ! THAT VERSION! (yes... I counted! *dork as charged* ^^;;).

12. What are your top 3 favourite Takarazuka plays?

So ... I will be boring and say - Elisabeth, Phantom and Scarlet Pimpernel.

But slightly less boring - Ernest in Love, Me and my Girl and...aaaah A/L ... because I love how it murdered one of my favourite book series and then raped it's corpse and I felt like thanking Takarazuka for it XD. (also - Sherlock Holmes in Bitch boots and Watson in a dress... PRICELESS!).

EDIT: Actually if we speak strictly Takarazuka than Me an My Girl and Ernest in Love can't be included... so it will have to be Seal of Roses and Lucifer Tears... for cracky reasons and really odd choreographies and DOUBLE GAY! glorious, GLORIUS DOUBLE GA!!! :D:D:D

13. What are your top 3 favorite Revues?

Aaah! Harsh! Harsh! HARSH!!! Tarantella, Neo-Dandyism and Junction 24 ... Just for the bit when Oura Mizuki high kicks and shoots the entire cast AND THE AUDIENCE with a gold machine gun XD.

That was a hard question *is a revue whore* ^_^.

14. Who is your favourite Top Star combi of all time?

Ack! I am going to be boring and join the hoards that root for WaoHana. I just love how they sing together. There are many Musumeyakus I adore FAAAAR more than Mari Hanafusa but when she is with Youka Wao... there is just something about the way they sing and dance together that is perfection to me.

I think I have to add Asami Hikaru and Maikaze Rira on account of the awesome dancing. I think they actually match each other in their dancing ability... Maachan being the only musumeyaku I know who can front a line of top Otokoyaku and PAWN then like WOAH (also - this was indeed was just an excuse to talk about Maachan who I hated in Tears of Lucifer (Lame role of kind blind whore being LAME) Loved in Tarantella and finally totally fell in love with in Silver Wolf!... nothing to do with the fact she said nice things about the Glastonbury Tor in her blog... but it WAS nice ^_^).

15. What is your favourite Top Star / Nibante combination of all time?

Going to be so bloody boring again - I am too new for this question dammit! Did Osa and Asa where ever Top and Nibante together or did they just have that chemistry going despite rank?

I think the most I enjoyed was Touko and Chie in Scarlet Pimpernel though.

16. What troupe would you most likely cheat on your current favourite troupe with?

You probably couldn't move me from the glory that is Cosmos right now since ... y'know... Yuuhi, Tomu, Micchan, Tomochin... you would have to crate a troupe made of Kimu, Chie and Kiriyan to even begin to convince me... XD.

17. What character is your favourite Takarazuka hero?

Hands down! LUCHIENI!!!! *coughs* yes... And my shrink thinks I need help too! ;_;.

18. What character is your favourite Takarazuka heroine?

Despite the dreadfulness of the musical ... which is probably also a direct link to why I love it so much... Lady Oscar! But it is very much a continuation of the Manga and Anime.

19. What character is your favourite Takarazuka villain?

Carlotta and Sophie... oh look... both played by Aya Izumo who is awesome... I wonder if that has anything to do with it? ^_^.

Your Favourite! (pick one!)

1. Otokoyaku or musumeyaku

Otokoyaku.

2. Comedy or drama

Comedy

3. Singing or dancing

Tsk! Hard one! I will go with... Dancing... personal biased and all that - I tend to fall for the dancers... but it just wouldn't be Takarazuka without the singing so... meep! PASS!

4. Western style play or traditional Japanese style play

WESTERN STYLE. As much as I try and I DO TRY, I can't get into nihonmono no matter what! Something in the aesthetic is just off. I look at it - can SEE it is beautiful but it doesn't speak to my soul AT ALL!

5. Oscar or Andre

Oscar... apart from that bit when Andre gets shot a lot ^^;;.

6. Death or Franz Joseph

CAKE OR DEATH? Sorry... what? Franz Joseph was a bit of a wet blanket and my moustache tops his a million times! I would go with Der Todd thank you... quite literally - I will go home with him like a puppy-eyed fan girl and offer to make him some cake and then he can eat me... I mean the CAKE... CAKE... I don't have any sexual feeling towards Zunko in a bad wig... I mean... AAAH *hides*.

7. Play or Revue

Revue whore thy name is Lamasu - bring me the sparklies so I can sparkle... with sparkles! ^_^.

8. Tuxedo or 10 layer bell-bottom latin pants

What kind of a crazy arse question is that? Tuxedo... with 10 layers of bel-bottom latin pants... no, not really. PIN STRIPE SUITS PLZ! *elegantly side-steps question* right... not so elegantly but...).

9. Sequins or feathers

Sequinned Feathers... see what I did there? Actually - the belly dancer is still strong in me - SEQUINS!

10. Main theater or Bow Hall (or Umeda or whatever other smaller theatre they use)

Can't decide... will tell you after I saw some shows live, OK? If there was ever a chance that I could get to sit on front raw and then Ranju Tomu kinda... fell on me from the silver bridge... than I would have to say - Main theatre ... but until that unlikely eventuality I reserve my right not to answer this question (or any) properly!

11. Heroes or villains?

MUWAHAHAHAHAAHAH! That is all! ^^;;.

12. Osa or Asa

Who... WHO WROTE THIS QUESTIONER? Are they trying to torture me? I am NOT going to answer that question... OK... I will... RANJU TOMU!

THERE! :P

This was awful ... I really enjoyed it... must do it again in 3 years time ^_^.

My spell checking is not working so it is probably dreadful to read and quite frankly - I have written it really fast and I suspect I will change my mind about some things if I look again...

So it stays as it is for now.

We are down the in-laws for Christmas and there is no scanner here. I had to rely on my camera in bad light.

But even in fuzzy - Ranju Tomu and Otozuki Kei look SHARP! *I could eat their suits... I could eat them... and GODDESS! Killer Bitch Heels FTW! XD.

Also can't stop thinking of Ranju Tomu as top star and Otozuki Kei as nibante and how bloody awesome that would be because like - those two... THOSE TWO! They are my favourite non-tops at the moment *flails* ... I know they are in different troups but in the same magazine you can also see how skeletal Mizu is... which suggests to me she would probably beg to retire soon (why do they work the stars half to death these days - IT IS SCARY!!!).

Anyway - Tomu and Kimu in Bitch boots and suits of WIN!

I am happy now...

Also I just bought myself a Christmas Present from The Vulcan Mathematician... so this year I KNOW it would be awesome because it is the Assassin Creed White special Edition (I missed my chance on the Black but heh - Ezio is Ezio as long as he stabs people in the back and shags Venetian caurtesans - ALL IS GOOD:D:D:D).

I will later wrap it up and also write myself a Christmas card from him sorta:

"Dear Wife

I saw this in the shop and thought of you. I don't mean to say you are violent and made of plastic and indeed, would appreciate if you do NOT take lessons from the game on how to take revenge on me when I put blue socks with your white shirt on hot wash.

Please enjoy (but not too much so you call me Ezio when we make love!)

Yours with all respect (you massive geek... and I mean if fondly ...
I have a soft spot for old issues of Graph these days. I tend to pick them on dry ebay seasons when my craving for non-YAAAAAR Takarazuka gets the better of me but there are no DVDs for sale. One at a time ... they are always filled with little eye-candy gems. Specifically the dress-up photo sessions in which rising actresses put on costumes of top stars.

So here is Otozuki Kei - from the February issue of 2006 dressed as Der-Todd from Elizabeth.

It is the new definition of Looking like Death! ^__^.

I am hungry now better go eat some Kimu... And since the poor souls at FaceBook and Twitter (and some extent this here blog) don't deserve to have millions of images and youtube vids of mostly Takarazuka and a bit of BJD ... with maybe some future Yaoi thrown in...

I have opened a tumblr. at http://zehavitlamasu.tumblr.com/ and there I dwell happily in a heaven of Takarazuka, Resin and hopefully Boys Love too soon.

And that is all for now ^_^.

OK... so I know there was not much of my real life in detail on this LJ. That is because I moved it all to Facebook where I can rant in short bursts about the WOE and SQUEE of my daily happenings. They mostly involve major decisions such as "shall I partake in English Muffins or French Croissants for breakfast" and "Why can't my latest Takarazuka acquisition arrive before I even ordered them" ... so... actually ... you are not missing much.

In order to explain how much my routine ANGST doesn't cut much muster in the world of true hardship. Now that our totally annoying yet thoroughly treatable medical conditions have somewhat been pushed away with the firm aid of our friend Pen V, I am oh-so-Englishly concerned about the weather.

Namely the fact that not only did my vintage Victorian coat got drenched in the rain but also that my matching umbrella got blown inside out three times in the wind... leaving me in my Victorian vintage drenched ... and then broke.

I planted it in the garden where many an umbrella corpses have found their rest.

So you see - I have no angst in my life and that in itself not only make my life rather dull but also make it difficult to maintain a convincing level of BISH!

;_;

And I decided to bemoan my lack of BISH with some real BISH. With REAL angst. Also this would help to demonstrate why despite being an un-ashamed pirate and sharer of pirate loot, I do indeed spend every penny I have on original Takarazuka DVDs.

See here? They are shiny. And I like my angst shiny. And when we deal with shiny angst (and indeed the woes of wet vintage coats and umbrella plants) none is better to express this than Asami Hikaru.

Because lets face it - the woman pouts when she smiles FFS - so much BISH in one woman and now they went and put her in a silver wig! HOW ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSE TO CONCENTRATE ABOUT ANYTHING - I ASK YOU???

So here it is - in simple Japanese so you can all understand:

OY! ANGST!

OY VEY! ANGST!

OY VEY ZMIR! ANGST!

Yes... I love angst... when it is shiny ... and is embodied with gorgeous things who are not ME! So bottom line - we are doing fine. We are wet. I ran out of muffins. My coat is wet and I have to go back in the rain ...

Oy ^^;;.

Little did Rogers and Hammerstein know that the one thing missing from their classic Cowboy musical extravaganza OKLAHOMA was... a bunch of beautiful cross dressing ladies doing a PIMP DANCE!

<lj-embed id="40" />

OMIGODDESS!!!

I thought I hated this musical until I watched the Takarazuka version! Sorry... but I have NEVER been so happy for not listening to scathing reviews. I LOVED IT! *hearts it with hearts and heartiness of LURV!*

Against all the other opinions - I thought it was gorgeous to see Tom doing something light hearted like Curly and sadly... I thought Kiriyan faded as Jud... it is a good thing she shone in the revue part as short as it was.

AND THE PIMPING! *flail* I LOVED THE PIMPING! :D:D:D

So worth the the price of the DVD! :D:D:D

Taka-Crack - it makes the world a better place!

ZE END! <3<3<3

And ... aaaah... we are doing better... although going to the loo is seriously a penicillin intensive experience... I ... I know you all wanted to know that so... aaahhh... I ... I will get me coat now ... ^^;;.

IT ROBS ME OF THE WILL TO LIVE!!! Thankyou!

After my joy of managing to put a bit of weight on it is back to size anorexic in the space of 2 days. The children got over it a bit faster although they are still generally scared of food. I, on the other hand, took it worse, mostly because throwing up make me panic and panicking make me throw up - Vicious circle of DOOM!

I managed to keep down a toast today - I guess I should be grateful. I need to air the house before my mum arrives because it smells of puke like WOAH.

And now, as I still feel shaky ... probably from lack of food since Winter Vomiting isn't a bug that stays around long (thanks heavens)...
I challenged myself to reduce the immediate TO READ pile to ten books or less... as you can see I succeeded with flying insanity... that is if by 10 you mean 14... IT IS THE NEW MATHEMATICS!!!
And after I was told I will have to wait for ages - He arrived in the nick of time. I didn't even have time to prepare his Rabbi attire so he is borrowing some of Solomon Clothes...

The first thing that struck me was just how WHITE Luts Real White Skin is... which was a pleasant surprise because Rebbe Abe is suposed to be Albino. He is much lighter than Solomon and he is BEAUTIFUUUUUUUL! I love him! ^_^.

The wig will either be trimmed or braided at the back leaving two long thin strands at the front... possibly also braided not decided yet. He will also have a kippah and a talit once I figure out how to make one. I will also change his eyes soon... they need to be a little more pink/lilac ^^.

So now Solomon has something to play with >:D.

The main problem I have with him is that he is SO white - I can't use the flash on him. I just didn't realise how dissatisfied he looks ... if I knew... the wait would have been A LOT MORE PAINFUL! I adore him! His dissatisfied frown is just so... so ...
Do you remember how I told you that I have now got all the Rose of Versailles out of my system?

Well... I hope you also remember I told you I was LYING!!!

BECAUSE I WAS.

I decided to scan that little Naked Andre scene from the manga because they didn't put it in the anime... reasons being, I am guessing, that it would reduce the levels of angst, drama, angst, melodrama, angst, dramalama and ANGST!!! (Yes - this is why I love the series! My name is Lamasu and I am an ANGST WHORE!).

Here it is in all its glorious glory:

So I know... I know ... Andre is only semi-naked - but the look on Oscar's face is priceless :D:D:D

Also - he seems to be wearing Calvin Klein undies... but if you think THAT is anachronistic...

CHECK OUT THE ROCOCO FLARES!

Oh 1970s manga - why? WHY WERE YOU SO AWESOME!!! ^_^.

I still keep a grudge for the lack of Rococo flares in recent Takarazuka productions of BeruBara... true - they had them in the 1970s versions and it is now a new century and all that ... still!

IT IS NOT AN EXCUSE!
